Ingredients for Bitter gourd Recipe

  • 125 gram Bitter melon
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • As required ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • As required ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • As required ½ teaspoon mustard seed
  • As required Optional
  • As required ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • As required Optional
  • As required ½ tablespoon coriander powder
  • As required ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 nos medium onion
  • As required Chopped
  • 1/2 nos medium tomatoes
  • As required Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon green chili paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • As required salt to taste
  • 0-1/4 tablespoon tamarind pulp
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sugar

Directions: Bitter Gourd Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and peel bitter melon, cut in half, remove flesh and seeds. Cut into thick slices.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl take sliced bitter melon and add 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. mix well and leave for at least 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.In a vessel take oil, heat on low flame and add garlic and fry till light golden.
  • STEP 4.Now add onio Cook until golden brown and chopped tomato. now add dry spices cook well .
  • STEP 5.Now add bitter gourd and cover with lid. stir in a mid.
  • STEP 6.Cook until bitter gourd becomes soft.
  • STEP 7.In the end add taramind paste and sugar.. Adjust the bitterness. Ready bitter gourd served with hot chapati.
