Ingredients for Bihari Mutton Curry Recipe

  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 2 green chilies
  • sprig Coriander
  • As required For mutton curry
  • 4 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 500 gram mutton
  • 3 dry red chilies
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 4-5 green cardamom
  • 8 Cloves
  • 2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 black cardamom
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon jeera powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder

step 1

  • STEP 1.Prepare a paste of ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, green chilli, coriander leaves and water.

  • STEP 1.In a heated pan, add mustard oil and let it heat.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add the mutton and sear fry it.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Remove the fried mutton on a plate.

step 5

  • STEP 1.In the same pan, add dry red chillies, bay leaves, green cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom and mix.

  • STEP 1.Add sliced onions and fry it until it turns light brown.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt as per taste and mix.

step 8

  • STEP 1.Add the masala paste, fried mutton pieces and mix it well.

step 9

  • STEP 1.Add water and leave the mutton to cook on medium heat.

step 10

  • STEP 1.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
