  • 0.63 En Chilies, Chopped
  • 1/4 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Seeds
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak split chickpeas in water for 4-5 hours and drain.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked chickpeas with green chilies, ginger, and spices to make a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, and salt to the paste and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 5.Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into flat round vadas.
  • STEP 6.Carefully drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 7.Remove from oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.

  • Make sure to soak the split chickpeas for at least 4-5 hours to ensure they are soft enough to grind.
