Ingredients for Besan pithor curry Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Besan
  • 1 pieces onion (grated)
  • 3/4 pieces tomato (grated)
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp jeera
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.13 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 0.13 tsp ajwain
  • a pinch Baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Mustard oil

Directions: Besan Pithor Curry Recipe

  • STEP 1.Sieve besan in a plate. Add ajwain, turmeric powder, 2 tsp mustard oil, baking soda, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, salt and mix well.
  • STEP 2.Add water few tablespoons at a time and knead a dough.
  • STEP 3.Dust it with plain dry flour and roll it in thick roti with a rolling pin. Cut it in desired pieces and place it in plate.
  • STEP 4.Heat mustard oil in kadai. Fry these pieces until golden.
  • STEP 5.Remove extra oil from the kadai and leaveing 5 tbsp oil behind. Add jeera and let it splutter. Add onion, ginger garlic paste and fry til golden. Add tomato, salt and mix. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kasuri methi, garam masala and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Cook for few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add water as required. Boil it. Now add fried besan pieces. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Add coriander leaves and mix. Besan pithor curry is ready. Serve hot with rice, roti or paratha.
