Ingredients for Besan laddoo Recipe

  • 0.40 cup besan /gram flour
  • 0.40 tbsp suji
  • 0.15 cup 3/4-1 cup
  • 1/5 cup Powder sugar
  • 1/20 cup grated dry coconut (optional)
  • As Required Some chopped cashew almond for garnishing

Directions: Besan Laddoo Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a heavy bottom kadai heat 1/2cup ghee,do not add all the ghee in this stage.
  • STEP 2.Add besan and suji, being to roast it on low flame.
  • STEP 3.Stir often so that besan gets browned evenly and does not burn.
  • STEP 4.Keep on roasting for about a total of 30 to 35 minutes stirring non-stop or until the colour of besan will change and the mixture will start releasing ghee and will give a nice fragrant aroma.
  • STEP 5.The time of roasting is depending on the thickness & size of pan, intensity of flame the timing of roasting will vary.
  • STEP 6.Add more ghee if the mixture becomes dry, the mixture should be binding consistency.
  • STEP 7.The measurement of ghee depends upon the quality of besan.Turn off flame, add grated coconut Mix everything well. After 4-5 minutes add sugar powder and mix very well. The entire tagar has to be mixed evenly with the roasted besan and ghee mixture.Let the ladoo mixture become lukewarm or cool at room temperature. Then shape into medium-sized ladoo with your palms. Add chopped Pistachio at this time.
  • STEP 8.If the mixture looks very dry then add 2 to 3 tablespoon of hot melted ghee and mix again. and then shape into laddu.
  • STEP 9.I have also prepared some small size laddu for my little princess.
  • STEP 10.Keep laddus for 2-3 hours then store it in a airtight steel or glass container.
  • STEP 11.Enjoy
