  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • 1/4 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 Dried Red Chilies
  • 0.13 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • pinch A Pinch Of Asafoetida

Directions: Besan Ki Kadhi Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, whisk together besan, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add the besan-yogurt mixture to the pan and cook on low heat, stirring continuously.
  • STEP 4.Add water and bring the kadhi to a boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the besan is cooked.
  • STEP 5.In a separate pan, heat ghee and add dried red chilies, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida. Pour this tempering over the kadhi.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to whisk the besan and yogurt mixture well to avoid lumps.
  • Stir the kadhi continuously while cooking to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Adjust the consistency of the kadhi by adding more or less water according to your preference.
