Ingredients for Bengali Lamb Curry Recipe

  • 500 gram Mutton
  • 2 Onion large finely sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 Potato cut into half
  • 1 Tomato puree large
  • 2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Hot red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 0.33 teaspoon Sugar
  • As required Salt
  • 1/2 cup Oil

Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Marinate the mutton with onion slices, ginger-garlic paste, oil and all the dry spices with salt and sugar. Keep it aside for 30-40 mins.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat the pan in a pressure cooker, put remaining oil. Once it is hot, add the marinated mutton and cook it for 10-15 mins.
  • STEP 2.Add tomato puree, mix well and cook again for 10 mins. Add potato pieces and 2 cups of warm water. Mix well and cook it until 6-7 whistles.
  • STEP 3.Make sure that the mutton is nicely cooked. Turn off the flame and serve hot with roti, naan or steamed rice.
