Ingredients for Bengal's famous ghoogni Recipe

  • 50 g m chickpeas
  • 1/2 Pieces Onion Chopped
  • 1.50 Pieces Garlic clove
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger paste
  • 1/2 Pieces reen chillies chopped
  • 3/4 Pieces green chillies – slit or sliced
  • 1/4 Tsp cumin seed
  • 1/4 Pieces bay leaf
  • 1/4 Tsp Dry red chilli whole
  • 1/4 Tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp roasted masala
  • 0.13 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 Tsp red chilli powder
  • To Taste salt and sugar
  • As Required Mustard oil

Directions: Bengal's Famous Ghoogni Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak the chickpeas overnight
  • STEP 2.Wash well and add salt, turmeric powder, onion and garlic
  • STEP 3.Boil it well till it is soft
  • STEP 4.Now heat oil and temper cumin seed bay leaf and red chilli whole
  • STEP 5.Add chopped onion,ginger and garlic saute well adding salt and turmeric powder
  • STEP 6.Saute well adding red chilli Powder and add boiled chickpeas
  • STEP 7.As everything get combined add roasted masala powder and sugar
  • STEP 8.Now add hot water and boil well
