Ingredients for Beguni Recipe

  • 80 gram Gram flour
  • 20 gram Rice flour
  • As required Salt
  • As required Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 200 gram Brinjal
  • As required Mustard oil

Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Make a batter of gram flour, rice flour, turmeric, salt, sugar, kashmiri red chili powder and water. Bring it to the perfect consistency and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Cut brinjals into long slices, wash them under running water and marinate with salt.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Take a deep-bottomed pan and heat some oil in it.
  • STEP 2.Wait for the oil to become hot enough for frying.
  • STEP 3.Dip the marinated brinjals in the batter and fry them one by one in the oil.
  • STEP 4.Once the brinjals are crispy and golden, remove them from the kadai and keep on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.

Storage And Serving Method

  • STEP 1.Serve these fritters hot either with a condiment or as a side in a Bengali thali.
