#bread With my homemade beetroot hummus, I made some delicious , beautiful and healthy breakfast toasts with brown bread. I used sweet and tangy fresh pomegranate arils, red jalapeños, crumbled paneer, olives and mint leaves. I hope you will like this simple , cute and healthy breakfast toasts.

Ingredients for Beetroot Hummus Breakfast Toast Recipe

  • 0.13 cup Chickpeas/Dry Garbanzo Beans
  • 0.06 Pieces Beetroot
  • 1/4 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Paste (tahini)
  • 1/2 Pieces Garlic Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Pieces brown bread slices
  • 1/4 Pieces Red Jalapeno Pepper
  • 0.06 cup Fresh Pomegranate Arils
  • 0.06 cup crumbled paneer
  • As Required For Ganishing Mint leaves
  • A Handful Olives

Directions: Beetroot Hummus Breakfast Toast Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash, peel and cut beetroot roughly.
  • STEP 2.With little water grind the beetroot pieces to make a thin paste.
  • STEP 3.Place the grinded beetroot to a pan and bring to heat.
  • STEP 4.Cook in medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • STEP 5.Cook washed and soaked chickpeas with sufficient water and little salt until the chickpeas becomes very soft.
  • STEP 6.Drain to a strainer and place them to a food processor/grinder.Add in garlic cloves, sesame seed paste, cumin seeds, chilli flakes and salt.
  • STEP 7.Also pour the cooked beetroot mixture.
  • STEP 8.Add in chickpea water as necessary to grind the mixture and grind to make a thick paste.Also add in olive oil in the middle of the grinding process.
  • STEP 9.Beautiful beetroot hummus is ready now.Transfer to a bowl.

  • STEP 10.Toast some brown bread as per your desired level. I used a bread toaster , you can toast bread in a griddle also.
  • STEP 11.Spread prepared beetroot hummus to one side of the toasts. Be generous while spreading hummus.
  • STEP 12.Next sprinkle some crumbled paneer. You can use crumbled feta cheese also.

  • STEP 13.Next sprinkle some fresh pomegranate arils, chopped jalapeños, mint leaves and olives.

  • STEP 14.Squeeze little lemon juice from top and serve immediately.
