Luchi or poori is a deep fried bread made with all purpose flour /whole wheat flour ,salt and and water.I mixed beetroot paste and dry roasted spices with the flour to make it colourful ,healthy and little more tasty.

Ingredients for Beeter Luchi or Beetroot pooris #BSK Recipe

  • 1/4 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 0.38 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.13 tbsp Dry Roasted spices Powder
  • 1/4 pieces beet root
  • 0.13 tsp Salt

Directions: Beeter Luchi Or Beetroot Pooris #bsk Recipe

  • STEP 1.Peel the Beetroot and cut into small pieces.Boil the pieces. Now grind the pieces and make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.Now take 1cup all purpose flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl.Add salt ,Dry roasted spices powder (cumin,coriander,fennel seeds,carom seeds)and ghee in the flour and mix well.Now add beetroot paste and mix well.Now add water in portion and knead dough.knead little stiff and tight dough for poori.Now cover the dough and keep aside for 20 minutes to rest.
  • STEP 3.After 20 minutes the dough is ready.Now grease your hand with some ghee.Iubricate the dough again until smooth.Devide the dough and roll it into long log shape.Pinch small balls from the dough.Now make round flatten dough ball.Meanwhile heat vegetable oil to deep fry the pooris.When the oil get hot rightly then start making pooris.
  • STEP 4.Take one dough ball and roll it out into round and thin poori.Now slide the rolled poori in the oil and press it gently with the ladle to puff it up.Then flip the side and continue frying for 10-15 seconds.Similarly fry rest of the pooris.Now serve with potato curry or Chana Daal.
