A Non veg side dish using beef. Cabbage Irachi Thoran, / Cabbage beef Thoran is a typical Kerala dish, a combination thoran made of cabbage and shredded beef. It is really delicious and a favorite among children. The shredded beef transforms the simple thoran and makes it more appealing. This is not a complicated dish and whenever beef ularthiyathu, or Beef Pepper roast, take a handful of meat and cook with salt alone to make this thoran.

Ingredients for Beef Thoran Recipe

  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Chopped onion large size
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 No.s Chopped chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Crushed cooked beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala

Directions: Beef Thoran Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Heat a pan on the stove. Pour in 2 tbsp of coconut oil to the pan.

  • STEP 1.When the oil gets heated add 2 chopped onions and saute till tender and transparent.

  • STEP 1.Add in a pinch of salt, chopped onion and curry leaves.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add ½ tsp turmeric powder and saute till the onions are brown.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Then add 1 cup of crushed and cooked beef into the pan with ½ tsp of pepper powder.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Finally add ¼ tsp of garam masala powder and turn off the flame.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Mix well and serve to the plate.
