  • 2.50 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 inch Beef cut into thin slices wide and 1 0.5 inch long 350 gms
  • 10 Garlic crushed cloves
  • 1.50 tablespoon Dried black soybean chopped
  • 1/2 No.s Green pepper sliced
  • 1/2 No.s Red pepper sliced
  • 1 No.s Carrot sliced into thin diamond shapes
  • 1/2 Red onion sliced Nos
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • As required Ingredients for beef marinade
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cornflour
  • As required Ingredients for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • As required white pepper powder

Directions: Beef Stir Fry With Black Bean Sauce Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.-1in a bowl add 350 gms cut into thin few millimeter thick slices 1 inch broad and 1 ½ inch long. Add 1 tsp soy sauce, 2 tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp ground garlic, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp baking soda and 1 tsp cornflour.

  • STEP 2.-2mix well till well combined. Cover and leave it to marinate for 30 minutes.

  • STEP 3.-3for the sauce, in a bowl add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 cup beef stock, white pepper powder to taste.

  • STEP 4.-4heat the wok till slightly smoking. Add 2 ½ tbsp oil and swirl it around the pan so that the most of the surface of the pan gets greased.

  • STEP 5.-5add the marinated beef to the hot wok and spread the beef pieces so that most of them are touching the surface of the hot pan. Let the meat fry till lightly seared on one side then flip them over to fry on the other side. Continue to do this till the meat gets a slight char on the edges.

  • STEP 6.-6tilt the wok and using a slotted ladle take out the meat pieces. Drain off any excess fat so that it remains in the wok.

  • STEP 7.-7turn the flame to low and add a little more oil. Add 10 cloves crushed garlic and

  • STEP 8.1 ½ tbsp chopped dried black soybean. Stir well till fragrant.

  • STEP 9.-8next add ½ sliced green pepper, ½ sliced red pepper, 1 sliced carrot into thin diamond shapes, ½ red onion sliced. Stir till the vegetables cook a little soft.

step 10

  • STEP 10.-9then pour the prepared sauce. Mix well and stir to deglaze the bottom of the wok. Taste and check for seasoning. Adjust accordingly.

  • STEP 11.-10add 2 tbsp cornstarch to 1 tbsp water and mix well. Add this to the wok. Stir well. It will thicken the sauce making it rich and creamy.

  • STEP 12.-11introduce the beef back into the wok and mix all the ingredients till well combined.

step 13

  • STEP 13.-12beef stir fry with black bean sauce is ready. Serve hot with white rice.
