Ingredients for Beef And Bamboo Shoot Stir Fry Recipe

  • 0.12 inch Bamboo shoot medium size cut int o slices 1 Nos
  • 5 ounce Beef strip loin
  • 1 stalk Celery sliced cup
  • 1/2 cup Onion Sliced
  • 1 cup Green peppers sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger and garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce

Directions: Beef And Bamboo Shoot Stir Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 peel the bamboo till the centre shoot.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 cut it in half and make ⅛ inch thick slices.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 boil water in a pot and add 1 tsp salt. Add the chopped bamboo shoots pieces into the boiling water and boil for 15 minutes. This removes the bitterness.

  • STEP 4.4 drain off the water and wash the boiled bamboo pieces under running water.

step 5

  • STEP 5.1 heat the wok on medium heat. Add 2 tbsp oil,1tbsp chopped ginger and garlic and stir fry till seared and fragrant.

  • STEP 6.2 add 1 cup sliced celery stalk, ½ cup sliced onions and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Puch the vegetables to the side of the wok.

  • STEP 7.3 then add 5 oz of thinly sliced strip loin beef to the hot wok and stir fry to get a slight char and sear on the slices of beef.

  • STEP 8.4 at this stage add 1 cup sliced green peppers and toss together.

step 9

  • STEP 9.5 add 1tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp salt and mix.

  • STEP 10.6 add the blanched bamboo shoots and toss.

step 11

  • STEP 11.7 then add 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce and mix together and stir fry for 1 minute. Turn off the heat.
