Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak 1 cup of chana dal in water for 2 hours, then drain.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  • STEP 3.Once the mustard seeds start to splutter, add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 2 dried red chilies.
  • STEP 4.Add 1 finely chopped onion and saut茅 until it turns golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 6.Add 1 cup of chopped green beans and soaked chana dal.
  • STEP 7.Add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, and salt to taste.
  • STEP 8.Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes until the beans and dal are cooked through.
