Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the white peas overnight and then drain the water.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked white peas, water, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 3-4 whistles or until the peas are tender.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add ginger-garlic paste and saut茅 for a minute.
  • STEP 6.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
