Ingredients for Banana flower masala Recipe

  • 1/4 As Required Banana flower (innermost part)
  • 1/4 Cups Mustard oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Mustard powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Haldi powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Chilli powder
  • 25 g BESAN
  • To Taste Salt
  • To Taste Sugar
  • 1/4 Pieces Onion
  • 1 Pieces green chilli
  • A Few Nigella seed

Directions: Banana Flower Masala Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take the inner most part of banana flower,cut into 4 pieces and blanch.
  • STEP 2.Make a batter with besan,haldi powder,salt. Dip the blanched florets in the batter and deep fry
  • STEP 3.Mix the mustard powder in water and add a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan, add nigella seeds and temper. Next saute the onion and add haldi powder,chilli powder and green chilli. Then add the mustard mix,lightly saute and add warm water. Bring to a boil and add the fried florets. Add sugar and salt. Reduce the gravy. Serve hot.
