  • 1/4 cup Jaggery, Grated
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash the bamboo rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked bamboo rice with water until it is cooked and soft.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, melt jaggery with water to make a syrup.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked bamboo rice to the jaggery syrup and mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add coconut milk and cardamom powder to the pan and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with roasted nuts and serve the bamboo rice payasam warm or chilled.
