Ingredients for Baigan bharta Recipe

  • 166.67 g Eggplants
  • 33.33 g Spring onion
  • 0.67 g Tomatoes
  • 0.67 Pieces chilli
  • 0.67 tsp Green garlic chopped
  • 0.67 tbsp Oil
  • 0.33 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.33 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.08 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.33 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.33 Tsp Salt as par taste
  • A Handful Garnish: fresh coriander leaves

Directions: Baigan Bharta Recipe

  • STEP 1.1 Roast the eggplants. Peel off the skin as it becomes cool. Chop onion, garlic, chilli and tomatoes. Keep all the ingredients ready.
  • STEP 2.Take a kadai and put on gas adding oil. Add onion, garlic and chilli as oil become hot and saute it.
  • STEP 3.Now add all dry masala and give it a good stir. Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes or till it becomes mushy. Then add chopped or mashed eggplants.
  • STEP 4.Cook for another 4-5 minutes or till oil releases from it. Finally add garam masala and chopped fresh coriander leaves. Its time to serve hot with bajra roti, butter milk, achar, papad, etc.
