  • 1 Cardamom Pods
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1/2 Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 cup Water
  • as per your need Fried Onions And Chopped Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves.
  • STEP 3.Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the soaked rice and mix well. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook until the rice is done.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fried onions and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with raita or curry.
