From Leftover sugar syrup while making alwa candy.. make this alwa ginger lemon squash.
You can serve the delicious Alwa ginger lemon juice made from this squash to your guests as welcome drink.
Ingredients for Awla-Ginger-Lemon Squash/ Juice Recipe
0.27 cups Leftover sugar syrup
6.67 gm Ginger
0.40 pieces Lemons
0.07 tsp Salt
Directions: Awla-ginger-lemon Squash/ Juice Recipe
STEP 1.Boil leftover sugar syrup..till you get 1string consistency. Cool completely at room temperature.
STEP 2.Wash and cut halves of lemons..deseed them.Squeeze juice from them...strain & keep aside.Peel and grate ginger. Place grated ginger in thin cloth,make potli/ bundle..and squeeze to get ginger juice. Keep aside.(Prepare it just before adding to prepared sugar syrup).
STEP 3.Add both extracted lemon juice and ginger juice into cooled sugar syrup... add salt also. Mix and strain the mixture.
STEP 4.Store in airtight glass bottle or jar. Keep refrigerated.
STEP 5.To make Awla-Ginger-Lemon juice. Pour 1 part of Awla-Ginger-Lemon squash add 3 parts of chilled water. Add rock salt to taste. Serve/ relish chilled Awla-Ginger-Lemon juice.
