- 25 Nos chilli peppers
- 2 stalks lemongrass
- 2 Nos candlenuts
- 4 Nos shallots
- 2 Nos garlic cloves
- 3 cm galangal
- 10 gram shrimp paste
- 3 cm fresh turmeric
- 1 Nos ginger torch flower
- 4 tablespoon Oil
- 2 tablespoon tamarind pulp
- 500 milliliter Water
- 3 Nos tamarind leaves
- 3 Nos aubergine
- 4 Nos ladies fingers
- 1 Nos tomatoes
- As required Sugar
- As required Salt
- 200 gram fish
- 4 Nos kaffir lime leaves

How to Make Asam Pedas Ikan Pari Recipe
STEP 01
Chop aubergine, ladiesfingers and tomatoes into pieces
STEP 02
Grind dried chilli peppers, lemongrass stalk,candlenuts, shallots,garlic cloves,galangal,dried shrimp paste,fresh turmeric and make a paste
STEP 03
Soak tamarind pulp in water for 10 minutes and strain the tamarind water through a sieve
STEP 04
Add 4 tbsp oil in a pan, heat it and then add the grinded paste and saute it until oil separates and then add strained tamarind water and tamarind peels to the mixture
STEP 05
Now turn the gas at high flame and once the gravy starts boiling add chopped veggies,sugar and salt as per taste
STEP 06
Add fish and turn the gas at low flame and cook for 10 minutes, add some crushed lime leaves and turn off the flame
STEP 07
Serve with steamed white rice
