  • 250 gram mackerel
  • 2 liter Water
  • 7 Nos dried chilli peppers
  • 5 gram dried shrimp paste
  • 5 gram fresh turmeric
  • 10 gram galangal
  • 4 Nos shallots
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 5 Nos vietnamese coriander
  • 80 gram paste
  • As required Salt
  • As required Sugar
  • As required Shrimp paste
  • 2 Nos calamansi
  • As required Lettuce shallots
  • As required Fresh chilli peppers
  • As required Cucumber
  • As required Pineapple cubes

How to Make Asam Laksa Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

Grind dried chillies shrimps paste, turmeric, galangal, shallots lemongrass and some water to make a paste.

STEP 01

Remove the flesh from the skin and and get rid of skin and bones.

STEP 01

Take a pot add water and add ground ingredients and bring it to a boil.

step 4

STEP 01

Once water starts boiling add Vietnamese coriander and turn the flame to sim.

step 5

STEP 01

Now add fish broth into the soup followed by tamarind paste and mashed paste and bring it to a boil.

step 6

STEP 01

Add salt and sugar as per taste and remove the Vietnamese coriander.

step 7

STEP 01

Place the noodles in a bowl and top with laksa broth, shrimp paste , fried fish pieces, slices of cucumber, lettuce, pineapple, chillies and shallots.
