  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 Large Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and peel the arvi. Boil them until tender and then drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add the boiled arvi and mix gently to coat them with the masala. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to boil the arvi until they are tender but not mushy.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your taste by adding more or less red chili powder.
