  • 1 Artichokes, cleaned and the choke removed
  • 0.06 cup Butter
  • 0.06 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.06 teaspoon Pepper
  • 0.03 cup Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tablespoon Parsley, finely chopped

Cooking Direction

  • Cut the artichoke in half and remove the fuzzy choke from each half. Rinse the artichokes to clean them.
  • Steam them in a steamer basket or pot for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the leaves come off easily.
  • To eat, pull of the petals or leaves and dip them into the butter sauce. Suck the middle of the artichoke leaves out. Do not eat the leaf itself. Simply discard them.

Cooking Tips

  • Wanna make eating the leaves a less prickly experience? Cut the tips off before cooking.
  • Wrap the artichoke in aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 425F for 75 minutes.

Serving and Storage

  • Serve this steamed artichoke with butter dipping sauce with a side dish like an antipasto salad or some crunchy green beans.
  • Can be stored for up to one week.
