Arepas are crisp on the outside and nice and buttery inside. They are also gluten free as they are made with precooked cornmeal. arepa is a kind of food that is made od ground maize dough originating from Northern region of South America in pre-Columbian times and is notably a primary cuisine of columbia and Venzuela. Aprepas are cornmeal cakes and are original delicacy of Columbia, Venezuela and Panama.

How to Make Arepas Recipe

STEP 01
In a bowl take some warm water, salt and corn meal.

STEP 01
Knead it into a nice dough and let it rest for a few minutes. Grease your hands with some oil and make balls out of the dough. Press these dough balls to give them a disc shape.

STEP 01
Melt some butter in a pan and cook the arepas on them until they turn golden brown .
step 4
STEP 01
Slice them from the middle and add some butter in the centre and your arepas is ready to be served.
