  • 1 tablespoon Rum
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 pound 4 phyllo sheets
  • 6 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1 2 tart green apple, peeled, cored, and very thinly sliced
  • As required Confectioners
  • As required sugar, for dusting

  • STEP 1.In a small saucepan, warm the butter over medium-low heat until completely melted.

  • STEP 2.Remove the pan from the heat and let the butter stand for 10 minutes.

  • STEP 4.Heat the oven to 350° and grease an 8-inch pie dish with butter.
