Ingredients for Apam Balik Recipe

  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.50 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 Nos egg
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • As required Granulated sugar
  • As required Roasted chopped peanuts
  • As required Creamy sweet corn
  • As required Some unsalted butter

Directions: Apam Balik Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Take a bowl and add all the batter ingredients,whisk well and cover tightly with a cling film and leave for rest for 30 mins

  • STEP 2.After 30 mins,whisk the batter again before using.

step 3

  • STEP 3.1.melt some unsalted butter in a pan and then pour in ¾ cup(190 ml)batter into the pan

  • STEP 4.2.using the back of the ladle, swirl and spread the batter evenly.

step 5

  • STEP 5.3.cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2-3 mins until bubbles appear.

step 6

  • STEP 6.4.uncover the pan and sprinkle the granulated sugar evenly,add in chopped roasted peanuts and several tsp of creamy sweet corn.

  • STEP 7.5.now cover the pan again and cook it fully.

  • STEP 9.S cooked remove the lid and put some slices of unsalted butter.

  • STEP 10.7.now with a help of spatula take take it out and fold it in half and serve
