Ingredients for Anari Sahi Bhendi masala#Curry Recipe

  • 50 gms Bhendi Okra
  • 15 gms Grated Amul paneer
  • 1/10 cup Fresh tomato pureed
  • 1/10 cup Milk half
  • 1 tsp Sour cream
  • 0.60 tsp Kasturi methi
  • 1/5 tsp Ghee
  • 1/5 tsp Roasted jeera powder
  • 1/5 g Grated ginger
  • 1/5 tsp Salt
  • 1/5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/5 tsp Asafoetida hing
  • 1/5 cup Anar dana/ pomegranate seeds
  • 0.40 tsp cardomom powder

Directions: Anari Sahi Bhendi Masala#curry Recipe

  • STEP 1.First wash the bhendi and pat dry. Keep it aside, slit the okra in three halves.
  • STEP 2.Next marinate the bhendi withsalt and turmeric,in the mean time heat ghee in the pan or kadai . Shallow fry the marinated okra till cooked and soft.
  • STEP 3.Now add the grated paneer, ginger and kasturi methi. Stir fry for 5 mins. Add the milk and let the bhendi absorb the milk. Now add the sour cream to the cooked okra . Cook on simmer.
  • STEP 4.Now add the tomato puree and roasted jeera powder to the gravy. Again add ghee and hing. Cook till the gravy becomes thick and aromatic. Now add the pomegranate seeds and add a little sugar. Close the lid and cook for 15 mins. Garnish with ghee and sour cream.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with grated paneer and anar dana. Serve hot with rotis/ pulkas, Rice or Pooris.
