Ingredients for Amritsari Beetroot Badam Phirni Shots Recipe

  • 1/4 Litres Milk
  • 0.06 Cups Rice
  • 12.50 g Beetroot
  • 1/4 Cups Sugar
  • 0.06 Tsp Elaichi powder
  • 1/4 Tsp rose water
  • 3.75 Pieces Almonds

Directions: Amritsari Beetroot Badam Phirni Shots Recipe

  • STEP 1.*Wash rice and Soak for 1 hour.
  • STEP 2.*Drain water and grind to a coarse paste.Once grinded add 1/4 cup of water.
  • STEP 3.*Blanch the almonds , peel them and grind to a coarse paste.
  • STEP 4.*Take the beetroot, peel it ,chop roughly and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • STEP 5.*Cool it and Pureè it.
  • STEP 6.*Cook this Pureè till moisture dries.
  • STEP 7.*Take milk in thick bottomed pan flat pan and and bring to boil.Add slowly the rice paste.Keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  • STEP 8.*Add almond paste followed by Beetroot mixture.
  • STEP 9.*Once it thickens to desired consistency add sugar.
  • STEP 10.*Let cook ,stirring continuously.
  • STEP 11.*Add elaichi powder and rose water.
  • STEP 12.*Let it cool a bit.
  • STEP 13.*Trasfer to shot glasses.

  • STEP 15.*Serve chilled.
