  • 2.75 Ried Lentil Dumplings
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Puree
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Directions: Amritsari Aloo Wadiyan Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes and peel them. Cut them into cubes.
  • STEP 2.Soak the wadiyan in water for 15-20 minutes and then drain.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and fry the wadiyan until they turn golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
  • STEP 4.In the same pan, add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped onions. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • STEP 6.Add the fried wadiyan and potatoes to the masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

  • Make sure to soak the wadiyan in water before frying to soften them.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your taste.
  • Adding a pinch of garam masala at the end enhances the flavor of the dish.
