  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 cup Water

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Add sprouted moth beans and potatoes. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add water and let it simmer until the beans and potatoes are cooked.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

Cooking Tips

  • Soak the moth beans overnight and then sprout them for better digestion.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less chili powder.
