Ingredients for Aloo Tikki Recipe

  • 0.08 kilogram Potato
  • 0.33 Nos Bread slices
  • 0.33 tablespoon Rice flour/Corn flour
  • As required Salt
  • 0.67 Nos Green chilli
  • 1/25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • As required cumin powder
  • A Few Coriander leaves.
  • As required Oil For Frying

Preparation Directions

  • STEP 1.Mash the boiled potato with a fork or masher.
  • STEP 2.Take a jar and grind 2slice of white bread to fine powder.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Take the mashed potatoes in a bowl and add 3tbsp powdered bread.
  • STEP 2.Add the chopped green chillies, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Add coriander leaves,2tbsp rice flour, salt to taste and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Make medium sized balls. Gently press it with your palm. Do the same until there is no mixture left.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkies in medium flame and flip it after 2 minutes.
  • STEP 6.When the tikkis become crispy, transfer it to a paper towel/plate.
  • STEP 7.Aloo Tikkis are ready to be served.

Special Comments

  • STEP 1.The quantity of green chilli can vary according to preference.
  • STEP 2.Corn flour or rava can be used instead of rice flour.
  • STEP 3.Chat Masala or garam masala can also be added.
  • STEP 4.If the prepared mixture is too sticky, then powdered bread or rice flour can be added. Mix well.
