  • 1/2 Large Potatoes, Boiled And Mashed
  • 1/4 cup Soya Chunks
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 0.06 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as needed Oil For Shallow Frying

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes and mash them well.
  • STEP 2.Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes and then squeeze out the excess water.
  • STEP 3.In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, squeezed soya chunks, finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • STEP 4.Mix everything well and shape the mixture into small tikkis.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until they turn golden brown on both sides.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to squeeze out the excess water from the soya chunks to prevent the tikkis from becoming soggy.
  • You can add breadcrumbs to the mixture if it is too soft to shape into tikkis.
  • For a healthier version, you can also bake the tikkis in the oven instead of frying them.
