Aloo playa traditional potato recipe. It is stir fried with chana dal, urad dal, onions and green chillies. Tempered with mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Ingredients for Aloo Playa Recipe

  • 3 No.s Potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Urad daal
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 5 No.s Green chillies
  • 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 4 tablespoon Coriander leaves
  • 3 No.s Onion
  • 1.50 tablespoon Chana daal
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • As required Salt

Directions: Aloo Playa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take oil in a pan. Add 1 tbs of cumin seeds, ½ tbsp of mustard seeds, and 1 tbps of urad daal and fry the ingredients
  • STEP 2.Then add sliced chillies till it fries. Add chopped onions and curry leaves to the pan, till the colour changes. Now add ½ tbls turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • STEP 3.Now add boiled potatoes and coriander leaves to the pan and mix. Masala aloo palya is ready.
