Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes until they are tender and then peel and cut them into cubes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add tamarind pulp and water. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add the boiled potato cubes and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
