Aloo gosht is a meat curry, popular in Pakistani, Bangladeshi and North Indian cuisine. It consists of potatoes cooked with meat, usually lamb or mutton, in a stew-like shorba gravy.

Ingredients for Aloo Gosht Recipe

  • 0.13 kilogram gosht
  • 3/4 No.s Potatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 3/4 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 No.s chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 25 gram mustard oil
  • 0.13 teaspoon garam masala

Directions: Aloo Gosht Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 heat oil in a pressure cooker and add onions. Fry the onions till they turn golden brown and add ghosht to it.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and turmeric.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 mix everything well.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 now add 150 grams of water and close the cooker.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 let it cook at high flame for two whistles.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 now reduce the flame to medium and cook it for another 20 minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 to the cooked ghosht add potatoes,kashmiri red chilli powder, water and mix everything well.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 cook it for 2 whistles and finally add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
