  • 1 cup Tomatoes puree
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies slit
  • 1 Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 Carrots peeled and diced Nos
  • 3 Potatoes peeled and diced Nos
  • 1/2 cup Peas steamed
  • As required Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

How to Make Aloo Gajar Matar Sabji Recipe

STEP 01

Into the tall jar of the zodiac mixer grinder add 5 tomatoes chopped into chunks.

Blend to make a puree. Use the puree option. Empty the puree into a bowl and keep aside.

In a pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp mustard oil, ½ tsp ajwain, 1 inch ginger finely chopped, 2 slit green chillies, 1 onion finely chopped and saute for a few seconds till the onions soften.

Then add 1 cup tomato puree, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, ½ tsp coriander powder and saute to combine well.

Next add 2 peeled and diced carrots, 3 peeled and diced potatoes,and salt to taste. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.

Pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles and let the pressure release naturally.

STEP 01

Open the cooker and add ½ cup steamed peas. Bring to a brisk boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
