  • 2-3 Green chillies chopped Nos
  • 3 Garlic chopped cloves
  • 2 Potatoes boiled peeled and mashed

Directions: Aloo Bread Pakora Recipe

  • STEP 1.For the filling in a mixing bowl add 1 finely chopped onion, 2 to 3 green chillies chopped, 3 cloves chopped garlic, 2 potatoes boiled peeled and mashed and mint leaves finely chopped, 1 tsp chaat masala, salt to taste. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • STEP 1.Trim the crusts off the bread slices. With a rolling pin roll and flatten the bread which makes it easier to stuff and seal closed.
  • STEP 2.Spoon some of the potato filling in the center of the slice. Dab the edges with water and fold them over and pinch them shut, sealing the three sides of the bread.
  • STEP 3.To prepare the batter for coating, in a mixing bowl add ½ cup gram flour (besan), 1 tsp ajwain (carrom), salt to taste, ¼ tsp eno fruit salt. Add enough water to make a thick batter that coats the back of the spoon. Ensure there are no lumps.
  • STEP 4.In a deep pan or kadai heat oil for deep frying. When the oil is hot turn the heat to low. Coat each stuffed bread pakora into the batter and drain off the excess batter. Slide it into the hot oil. Fry on low heat to ensure that the pakora fry evenly and become golden and crisp on all sides.
