Ingredients for Aloo bhujiya/sev Recipe

  • 0.33 Cup besan
  • 0.67 Pieces boiled potatoes
  • 0.33 Tsp salt
  • 0.67 Tbsp oil
  • 0.17 Tsp red chilli powder
  • 0.17 Tsp garam masala
  • 0.08 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 0.08 Tsp pepper powder
  • 0.08 Tsp dry mint powder
  • 0.08 Tsp cumin powder
  • 1/25 g tsp hin
  • 0.08 Tsp chaat masala
  • 0.33 Cup oil

Directions: Aloo Bhujiya/sev Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix besan, salt and all the spice powders (hing, turmeric powder,mint powder,chaat masala, red chili powder) in a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Then add boiled, grated potatoes and oil also.
  • STEP 3.Start mixing and knead into smooth and soft dough without adding any water.somtimes potatoes are so dry in that case you can add 2 tbsp water to make soft dough.
  • STEP 4.Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat for frying.
  • STEP 5.Meantime, grease the inside of the sev machine and disc. Please use the disc which has very tiny holes.
  • STEP 6.Now divide the dough into two portions and fill the sev machine container with one part of the dough and close tightly.
  • STEP 7.Once oil is hot, drop the sev directly into the hot oil and fry till crisp and slightly golden brown in color.
  • STEP 8.Then remove it using slotted spatula and keep on paper towel lined plate.
  • STEP 9.Repeat the same for rest of the dough.
  • STEP 10.Once sev cools down completely, it is ready to serve.
