Directions: Aloo Bath Rice Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and saut茅 for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add the soaked rice and saut茅 for a minute.
  • STEP 7.Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • STEP 8.In a separate pan, heat oil and add diced potatoes. Cook until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 9.Add the cooked potatoes to the rice and mix gently.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with raita or pickle.
