This is the most delicious and gluten-free ghriba of Morocco. It is prepared from almond powder, eggs, orange blossom water, zest of lemon, and powdered sugar.

Ingredients for Almond Ghriba Recipe

  • 9 ounce almond powder
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 Zest of lemon or orange
  • As required Powdered sugar for decoration
  • As required Whole almonds for decoration

Directions: Almond Ghriba Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl add almond powder, along with that add powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and zest of a lemon or orange (whichever you prefer).

  • STEP 2.Now add an egg white, and orange blossom water (if you don’t have it, you can use a little bit of rose water or vanilla).

  • STEP 3.Once we get a smooth almond paste, wrap it up, and place it in the fridge for 1 hour.

  • STEP 4.Shape the almond paste into a ball, the size of a walnut, and press a bit to flatten. Then roll it in powdered sugar and place it in the baking pan.

  • STEP 5.Finally, add a whole almond in the center of each cookie!

  • STEP 6.When you are ready prepare your pan, butter it then places the parchment paper.

  • STEP 7.Bake the cookies for 15 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 350 f or 180 c.
