A japanese recipe of Tofu blocks in savory Dashi sauce. It has a long shelf life in the refrigerator so we don't have to worry about it going off. Second, it's a healthy protein alternative making it a great healthy weeknight dinner. Also, it cooks quickly. Agedashi tofu is just one of the many ways we like to enjoy tofu at our house.

Ingredients for Agedashi Tofu Recipe

  • 1 package Tofu
  • As required Katakuriko
  • As required deep frying oil
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Mirin
  • 2 tablespoon Sake
  • 2 cup Dashi
  • As required chopped green onions

Directions: Agedashi Tofu Recipe

  • STEP 1.Cut the tofu into cubes, cover with towel cloth and put a weight over it.
  • STEP 2.Mix dashi, soy sauce, sake, mirin in a pot, heat it and keep the sauce warm.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil for deep frying.
  • STEP 4.Coat the tofu with katakuriko and deep fry.
  • STEP 5.Serve the fried tofu and top with the sauce and green onions.
