A main course dish made with eddoe leaves in coconut milk. ‘bhaji’ means vegetables or a dish made from veggies. So either ways, red amaranth is called as tambdi bhaji and so is the dish made with these reddish hued leaves also called as tambdi bhaji. This healthy tambdi bhaji can be served as a side dish with a dal and rice combination. You can also just have it plain with steamed rice or chapatis or bread. Red spinach sabzi recipe - sauteed red amaranth with onions and coconut from the Goan cuisine.

Ingredients for Addeo Leaf Bhaji Recipe

  • 15 No.s Large eddoe leaves
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • As required Shrimp
  • 5 stems scallion
  • 1 No.s Onion
  • 2 No.s wiri wiri peppers
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • As required Salt

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 - heat some oil in a pan and saute onion, scallions, pepper and garlic in it.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Cook until onions turn translucent. Add shrimp to the pan and season with pepper. Mix everything together and cook it for a minute.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add in addeo leaves and salt to the pan and give it a stir. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes and the bhaji is ready.
