A high protein crepe made from rice and dal batter flavoured with garlic and chilli. Also known as Adai dosa is a popular lentil crepe tamil recipe. Made with different kinds of lentils, rice and spices there are many other ways to make a dosa but this is definetly one of the healthiest one. Generally the combination of lentils of toor dal, channa dal, urad dal and moong dal. which is soaked and grounded to thick batter. A crispy Dosa recipe.

Ingredients for Adai-High Protein Lentil Crepe Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Rice
  • 1/2 cup Toor dal
  • 1/2 cup Chana dal
  • 1 inch Ginger Sliced
  • 1 No.s Dry red chilly
  • 2 No.s Green chillies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 Onion finely chopped Nos
  • As required Salt
  • As required Oil For Frying

Directions: Adai-high Protein Lentil Crepe Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak ½ cup rice, ½ cup toor dal ½ cup chana dal for 5 hours

step 2

  • STEP 1.Into the tall jar of zodiac mixer grinder add the soaked ½ cup rice, ½ cup toor dal ½ cup chana dal, 1 inch ginger sliced, 1dry red chilly, 2 green chillies, salt to taste and a little water.

  • STEP 1.Select the batter option. Blend to make a smooth batter.

  • STEP 1.Pour the batter into a mixing bowl and add ¼ tsp asafoetida, 1 finely chopped onion and mix well to combine.

  • STEP 1.Preheat skillet on medium heat. When hot, spoon the batter onto the skillet and spread the batter with the back of the ladle in a circular motion. Drizzle oil around the sides.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Cook on both sides until golden brown and crisp. Serve hot with coffee and chutney
