  • 1 pack Saltfish
  • 1 can tinned ackees
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoon butter OR cooking oil
  • 1/2 Scotch bonnet or hot chilli pepper
  • 2 Sweet peppers different colours

Directions: Ackee And Saltfish Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash off all the salt from the preserved cod fish in cold water, so soak as follows soak for one hour in predicament, so drain and replace with a brand new batch of predicament for an additional hour.
  • STEP 2.The fish are soaked for a complete two hours.
  • STEP 3.Heat the oil during a medium pan over medium heat so add the cut garlic and cook for thirty seconds.
  • STEP 4.Add the sprig of thyme and cook for thirty seconds.
  • STEP 5.Add the onions, scallions, bell peppers, and scotch bonnet pepper and cook for five minutes. Stir the complete combine prn.
  • STEP 6.Add the ready codfish to the pan and simmer for five minutes, stirring prn.
  • STEP 7.Add the akee to the pan and simmer for an additional two minutes.
  • STEP 8.Stir within the black pepper and switch off the stove.
  • STEP 9.Garnish the steamed meal with the paprika.
