Ingredients for Moong dal puri Recipe

  • 0.13 Cup moong dal
  • 0.06 Cup water
  • 1/2 Cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp rava
  • 0.06 Tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 Tsp chilli powder
  • 0.13 Tsp cumin powder
  • 0.13 Tsp garam masala
  • 0.13 Tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
  • As Required water (for kneading)
  • 0.13 Tsp salt

Directions: Moong Dal Puri Recipe

  • STEP 1.firstly, soak ½ cup moong dal for 2 hours.
  • STEP 2.drain off the water and blend to a smooth paste adding ¼ cup water.
  • STEP 3.transfer the moong dal paste to a large bowl.
  • STEP 4.further, add 2 cup wheat flour and 2 tbsp rava.
  • STEP 5.also add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp kasuri methi and ½ tsp salt.
  • STEP 6.mix well combing all the spices well.
  • STEP 7.further, add water as required and knead to a tight dough.
  • STEP 8.add 1 tsp oil and knead again forming a smooth dough.
  • STEP 9.now take a ball and roll using a rolling pin.
  • STEP 10.roll to slightly thick thickness.
  • STEP 11.drop the rolled dough into the hot oil.
  • STEP 12.press until the puri puffs up and splash oil to puff up fully.
  • STEP 13.flip over and fry until it turns golden brown.
  • STEP 14.finally, drain off the moong dal puri and is ready to enjoy with paneer sabzi.
