Winter has arrived and how, and aren’t we so excited about all the season special fruits and vegetables? From carrots, beetroots to kinnow, our pantry is going to be replete with colours but that does not mean we cannot make room for the white and slender radish. Also known as Mooli in Hindi, radish are of many types. In India they are an intrinsic part of our winter diet and here are a few recipes with the help of which you can make the most of it.
Radish Paratha/Mooli Paratha
It is the time to indulge in parathas dripping with ghee. Grate some radish stuff them in dough, roll them out, toast them on a tawa, and treat yourself to these lovely parathas.
Mooli Ke Patton Ki Bhujia
Don't toss away those tender radish leaves, chop them up and use them to make this delightful stir-fry.
Mooli Thepla
The Gujarati flatbread oozing with spices and goodness of grated radish. It is much like a paratha but thinner and crispier in comparison.
Mooli Muthia
Another Gujarati snack that deserves your undivided attention. Muthiyas are like steamed tikkis, they derive their name from 'mutthi', since they are gripped firmly in your fist (mutthi) before they are steamed they acquire their signature shape. The combination of yoghurt and mooli is truly something memorable.
Mooli Dhokli
