Iron rich foods 

Iron-rich foods are incompatible with tea since iron is a vitamin. This is so because tea has tannins and oxalates, which prevent iron from foods high in iron from being absorbed. These substances have the ability to bind iron, which stops the blood from absorbing it. Additionally, you must stay away from drinking tea with meals high in iron including nuts, green leafy vegetables, grains, lentils, and cereals. 

Lemon 

People frequently drink lemon tea in the morning and utilise it as a weight loss beverage. Lemon juice added to tea leaves can make the beverage acidic and perhaps cause bloating. Having lemon tea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach might also result in issues like acid reflux and heartburn. It is advised to stay away from this tea entirely if you already have acid reflux. 

Gram Flour 

For the most part, we frequently pair tea with pakore or namkeen. The majority of teatime snacks are manufactured using gram flour(besan) or another flour that may not have negative effects on all consumers. When besan products are consumed with tea, the body's ability to absorb the nutrients they contain is decreased and may result in some stomach problems. It is therefore better to just use them occasionally. 

Turmeric 

While drinking tea, foods containing turmeric should be avoided as this combination can also result in stomach issues including gas, acidity, or constipation. It is unsafe to combine tea leaves and turmeric. Turmeric and tea contain chemicals that can be harmful to the digestive system when combined together. 

Cold Foods 

Never mix hot tea with any cold food because it can interfere with digestion. Consuming foods that are varied in temperature at the same time can weaken your digestive system and possibly give you the flu. After drinking hot tea, wait at least 30 minutes before consuming anything cold. 

Nuts 

Milk and foods high in iron do not mix well. Consuming nuts with tea can be harmful to your health. When consumed with nuts, the tannin included in tea can prevent nutrients from being absorbed.
