Turn Your Regular Overnight Oats Into A Baked Delish

Woke up craving for a cake but also worried about your diet? No worries, we have got you covered! This one-minute baked oatmeal recipe is all you need on a buzzy day. This baked oatmeal recipe is delicious and healthy and is a perfectly balanced breakfast option for busy bees. It's rich in protein and fiber which is enough to kickstart your day.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oats
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery powder
  • 1/4th teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter/olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened peanut butter
  • Any seasonal fruit

Process

  1.  First, add 2 tablespoons of oats to a mixer grinder and make a fine powder
  2. Then add the dry ingredients (jaggery powder, cocoa powder, and baking powder) to the ground oats and give it a good stir. 
  3. Now, add milk and melted butter/olive oil to the oats mixture and mix until combined. 
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a mug/microwave-friendly bowl.
  5. Add unsweetened peanut butter in the middle to increase the nutritional value and give the oatmeal a gooey center. 
  6. Finally, pour the other half of the mixture and bake at 175 degrees C for 1 minute.
  7. Top it with your favorite seasonal fruits to make it nutrient-rich and Bon Appetit!

Take-away tips 

  1. It's better to use rolled oats for this recipe. If you don’t have rolled oats, then roast your instant oats for about a minute for better taste. 
  2. Do not overmix the batter. You might knock out all the air bubbles. 

Not only healthy, but this baked oatmeal is also labor-saving and penny-pinching. It’s a perfect substitute for overnight oats in case you want a change. Being extremely nutrient-rich and light, it can also work as a pre-workout snack that can be taken 30 minutes before a workout session.
